Why We Built This Site
Michigan offers several public access routes, but each answers a different question. The Luce County Sheriff keeps sheriff-created incident, arrest, booking, and jail material. The 92nd District and 11th Circuit courts maintain filed cases and dispositions. Michigan State Police runs ICHAT, while MDOC operates OTIS and MSP manages the Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry. We bring the verified contacts, request steps, official portals, and published fees together in one reference.
What You Will Find Here
- Agency contacts: verified routes to the Luce County Sheriff, local courts, and Michigan record systems
- Record guides: how criminal court case records are found and read in Luce County
- Official check details: the difference between an ICHAT name search and fingerprint-based personal record review
- Record relief: how Michigan set-aside and Clean Slate processes connect to the court that entered a conviction
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Michigan court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Those limits matter:
- We cannot submit a set-aside application, FOIA request, or other filing for anyone
- We cannot run an official background check or retrieve a criminal record
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot promise that an agency address, fee, hour, or telephone number has not changed
An official copy must come from the Luce County Sheriff, the proper court clerk, Michigan State Police, or another agency that maintains the original record.
Search Partners
Outside providers power some search boxes. They control their services, results, pricing, and terms. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee for us, which helps support the resource. We do not set the provider's charges or decide what its results contain.
